Congress has already passed legislation mandating that Trump withdraw from the Iran war. Now you need to take him to court to enforce it. Rep. Gregory Meeks introduced a resolution in July to compel Speaker Johnson to file that lawsuit. Support it, push it forward, and stop waiting.
This war has dragged on for more than six months without a single vote of congressional authorization. Thousands of Iranians, including hundreds of children, and at least 18 American servicemembers are dead. The average household is paying $1,200 more because of this conflict. Hegseth is now extending troop deployments into 2027, and analysts warn the administration's strategy points toward a permanent state of war. Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution gives Congress the power to declare war — not the president. That authority means nothing if you refuse to defend it.
