Why are tax $ being used to pay off criminals who trump pardoned?

Explain yourselves.
Why are taxpayer dollars being used to fund a settlement for Michael Flynn—a man who was investigated, charged, and admitted guilt, only to be politically rescued by a presidential pardon? On what legal, ethical, or constitutional basis does the American public now bear financial responsibility for the consequences of his actions?
This is not a gray area. Flynn’s case was not dismissed due to innocence; it was derailed through political intervention. A pardon is an act of executive clemency—it does not erase the underlying conduct, and it certainly does not entitle the recipient to compensation. Yet here we are, watching public funds diverted to reward a figure whose situation was resolved by presidential favor, not judicial exoneration.
Who authorized this? Under what authority? And why has there been no transparent accounting to the American people?
At a time when families are struggling, when essential programs are underfunded, and when basic services are being cut, you are allowing money to flow toward a politically connected individual with no legitimate claim to it. That is not governance—it is abdication.
Congress was never meant to be a passive body. You hold the power of the purse. You are charged with oversight. And yet, again, you appear to be surrendering both.
Take back control of this government. Demand full disclosure. Halt any improper disbursement of funds. Reassert your constitutional authority over federal spending, and make it clear that taxpayer money is not a tool for political cleanup or reward.
If you cannot—or will not—draw that line, then you are not just failing in your duty. You are enabling the very corruption you were elected to prevent.
