End For-profit Utilities

We need to stop pouring money into the pockets of utility shareholders. It's long past time that necessary functions such as electricity, water, and the Internet had a profit motive removed. We end up with a lower quality product at a higher price. Cities with public utilities have much better reliability and lower prices because residents aren't paying for rich people's yacht money. We see this time and time again. The government pours tons of money into these for-profit utilities and they continue to have poor maintenance and higher prices. It's long past time we took control of these for-profit businesses paid for with tax dollars.
