Reject fiscally reckless cuts, tax breaks for wealthy

I urge you to reject the proposed "one big beautiful bill" that aims to pass the administration's entire agenda in a sweeping manner. This budgetary blueprint is deeply concerning, as it would enact draconian cuts to vital social safety net programs while lavishing massive tax cuts that disproportionately benefit the wealthy. The proposed $2 trillion in spending cuts would devastate programs that millions of Americans rely on for basic necessities like food assistance through SNAP, healthcare coverage via Medicaid, and support for students. Slashing these programs by such staggering amounts would push countless families into poverty and deprivation. Meanwhile, the bill allows for up to $4.5 trillion in tax reductions, largely extending the previous administration's tax cuts that overwhelmingly favored the highest income brackets. This lopsided approach prioritizes tax breaks for the affluent over the well-being of ordinary Americans struggling to make ends meet. Furthermore, the bill would directly add $2.8 trillion to deficits over the next decade, ballooning the national debt under unrealistic economic growth assumptions. Fiscally responsible governance demands a more balanced approach that does not place such a crushing burden on future generations. I implore you to reject this reckless and detrimental legislative package. The American people deserve a budget that uplifts the vulnerable, promotes economic opportunity for all, and safeguards vital social programs – not one that sacrifices their interests for the benefit of the privileged few and corporations. A piecemeal, carefully deliberated approach would better serve the nation's interests.
