An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Support and value dedicated federal employees, not threatening demands.

The practices of threatening and harassing dedicated federal employees who serve the American people are unacceptable and counterproductive. Federal workers play vital roles in maintaining our nation's infrastructure, security, public services, and overall functionality. Demanding that they justify their work through rushed emails under threat of forced resignation is an insult to their commitment and professionalism. It undermines morale, erodes trust in government, and jeopardizes the effective operation of critical agencies. Instead of these harmful tactics, we should be supporting and valuing the public servants who work tirelessly to uphold the responsibilities of the federal government. A stable and respected federal workforce is essential for a well-functioning society and strong democracy. I urge you to rescind these threatening demands and instead cultivate an environment of respect and appreciation for those who have chosen careers in public service.
