Now is the time, no budget deal while Trump crime spree continues

I realize Democrats are mostly shut out of power in Washington right now. But you do have two points of leverage: the need for a new “continuing resolution” by March 14th, and the need to raise the debt ceiling. I urge you, do NOT accept minor concessions or negotiate for fiddly tidbits. Instead, demand that the Republicans own their own mess and stop the Trump-DOGE rampage. The actions of President Trump and Elon Musk are unconstitutional and illegal. Congress has the authority of control federal spending, not the executive branch. Allowing the DOGE operation and willful violations of congressional spending mandates to continue unchecked undermines the constitutional separation of powers. A deal to fund the government should make ending these unlawful actions a condition. The president's refusal to uphold his constitutional duties cannot be enabled. Clear, binding mechanisms to halt the abuse of power and restore proper governance must be put in place and enforced. A reasonable resolution requires the criminal conduct to cease and the rule of law to be reestablished. Seize this opportunity to protect the Constitution and Democracy!
