Fully Fund and Support the Department of Education

I am writing to urge you to stand firmly in support of fully funding and maintaining the Department of Education. No reasonable person denies that improvements can be made in our education department, but the reckless efforts to dismantle or defund the very institution responsible for ensuring equitable access to education are dangerous, shortsighted, and deeply harmful—especially to our most vulnerable students. The ripple effects of such actions will be felt for generations. Weakening the Department of Education undermines federal support for students with disabilities, low-income families, and rural communities that rely on federal funding and guidance to provide quality education. It strips away resources from struggling schools and leaves educators without the tools they need to help children succeed. If the goal is truly to improve education, gutting the agency designed to uphold and advance it is not the answer. Education is not a partisan issue—it is the foundation of our future. I urge you to show reason and stand against this destructive approach. Fully fund and support the Department of Education so that we can focus on meaningful reform that strengthens, rather than jeopardizes, the future of our students and our country.
