Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
An observation. If my Texas senators would spend as much time addressing the real roots of the Capitol insurrection as they are spending trying, rather, to convince us that it was actually the work of mythical left-wing anarchists, you would actually be working for the good of the country rather than your political futures.
Which I expect will be curtailed since you are building on a foundation of lies and propaganda. Lies that only the deluded and willingly misled are believing. You don’t even believe your own rhetoric, and you know it. And if you do, you should resign.
And the pronouncement from Senator Cruz about left-wing agitators causing all the trouble, a man whose own actions precipitated what all of America and the world watched on January 6 is ludicrous, to put it nicely.
You are humiliating your party, yourselves, Texas, and the country.
I wish you would just stop it. But it’s impossible to shame the shameless.
