Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Just a reminder from the Texas hinterlands what we’re seeing transpire today.
Ukrainians fighting valiantly for their country. With extreme bravery under extremely frightening conditions. They are taking up arms for their homeland. The Russians don’t stand a chance.
They won’t stand a chance against a population that refuses to surrender. They won’t stand a chance against the condemnation of the world. They won’t stand a chance because they were fatally wrong in thinking that the Russian people would be supportive of such actions.
To my point now…
America is a world leader. We are looked to in times such as these. We are still regarded as the supreme arbiter on the world stage. And the world seems in agreement that Joe Biden’s administration has shown why we still lead.
“Diplomat Aaron David Miller, who spent 24 years in the State Department, had his own assessment of the president. He said: “So far, Biden has done a masterful job of leading and maintaining both E.U. and NATO unity.”
But what grabs the headlines on your side of the aisle?
Following the lead of Mr. Trump, who says that Putin invaded because Biden is weak, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) tweeted that “Joe Biden is unfit to serve as Commander-in-Chief. He has consistently given into [sic] Putin’s demands and shown nothing but weakness.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called Biden weak and corrupt.
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said that former president Trump’s “unpredictability” (!) kept Putin cautious.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) complained that the administration “project[s] weakness.”
Reps Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Paul Gosar (R-AZ); Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Ron Johnson (R-WI); and others all are working to undermine Biden in this moment of global crisis.
Way to support the enemy guys. Have y’all forgotten whose side you’re supposed to be on?
It’s one thing to disagree on policy. It’s quite another to attack your president in a time of world crisis.
Y’all should think of the country before political ambitions. I think it’s even in the oath you took.
