An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect LGBTQ+ Families and Youth From Discrimination

177 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

LGBTQ+ kids and their parents in this district deserve to live openly without fear, and I need you to stand up and protect them. That means opposing any legislation that forces families to hide who they are, and actively supporting protections that let LGBTQ+ youth and parents exist safely in schools, homes, and public life. When kids can't be honest about their families or their own identity, it causes real harm. LGBTQ+ youth already face disproportionate rates of anxiety, depression, and homelessness — and policies that shame or silence them make it worse. Parents shouldn't have to choose between being honest about their family and keeping their child safe at school. This community is watching how you vote and what you say. Stand with LGBTQ+ families. Oppose bills that restrict how kids can talk about their lives, and support policies that affirm every family's right to exist without hiding.
