Demand DHS, ICE, and CBP Directors Testify Before Congress Now

Our democracy cannot function if dissent is criminalized and protest is punished with deportation. Arrests and detention of individuals like Rumeysa Ozturk and Mahmoud Khalil are not isolated incidents. Across the country we are witnessing a coordinated campaign by the Trump administration to use federal immigration enforcement as a tool for political punishment. I call on you to immediately: 1) Demand the release of all individuals being held for political reasons, including Khalil and Ozturk. 2) Hold public hearings and demand testimony from the heads of DHS, ICE, and CBP. 3) Investigate the visa revocation practices and recent detentions of student activists.
