As someone who voted for you, I am extremely disappointed that you voted to pass the spending bill. I understand that it was a lose lose situation, that there was no good outcome. But you and the nine other Democrats that voted yes, gave up your foot hold with absolutely nothing in return. This was a weak and spineless decision. Your constituents Are not impressed. I doubt that there’s anything that we could say to make you understand, especially given that you were retiring so at this point, you can probably do whatever you want. But just know that the Democrats that voted for you are pissed. This country is falling apart And you just gave away one of the only pieces of leverage that we had, your vote.
