An open letter to the U.S. Congress

NO to ego-stroking presidential birthday parades on the taxpayer's dime

187 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

The planned military parade on June 14th represents an egregious misuse of taxpayer funds solely to inflate the president's ego. A parade of such scale comes with an exorbitant price tag, with cost estimates ranging from $10 million to $30 million according to anonymous officials. This is an unconscionable waste of resources that could be better allocated towards supporting our troops, modernizing equipment, or providing robust healthcare and services for veterans. Lavish displays of military might do nothing to strengthen national security or honor those who serve. I urge you to speak out against this wasteful excess and ensure funds are directed where they are truly needed rather than squandered on an empty show of bravado.
