Five Mass Shootings on May 29

I've decided to start waiting a day or so before writing to you about mass shootings because it seems to take a couple of days for all of the reports to be up on GunViolenceArchive. If I had written the evening of May 29, there'd have been one to discuss. By this morning, there have been five total for May 29. Two dead and 28 injured. We must find the political will to begin to stop these mass shootings that are so uniquely and terribly American. It's time to ban assault type weapons and large magazines. To require universal background checks. To implement red flag laws. To close the Charleston loophole. Then keep going until we end this epidemic of gun violence. Thank you.
