Think About the Longterm Not Short term Gains

You must stop this overreach by the executive branch. Elon Musk is not an elected official and has had too much control and influence. You must stop the gutting of badly needed funding and programs. We NEED the Department of Education and Medicaid for the most vulnerable among us. You may not send your children to public schools but the vast majority of your constituents do. The access to a free and appropriate education for all is what has made our country great in the past. Taking away the oversight of states by the DOE will cause an imbalance in quality of education that already exists between the states become too difficult to overcome. Many of your constituents also NEED Medicaid in order to get healthcare. Taking away a funding source for people to get healthcare will cause the cost of care for everyone to sky rocket. Or people will stop receiving badly needed medical care and die. You may not use Medicaid, but maybe one of your family members will in the future. Think about the longterm consequences of your actions. Saving money is always a good thing, but taking a chainsaw to someone’s body is not how you do surgery to remove a tumor. You need to use a scalpel to reduce the impact to other areas.
