An open letter to the U.S. Senate

The "Big Beautiful Bill" is a Death Sentence for Many

134 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

The Reconciliation Bill has been called the Big Beautiful Bill, but it’s nothing of the sort! In reality, this bill seeks to use immoral pathways to free-up monies to support irresponsible tax breaks for the most financially bloated people in America! It’s unconscionable and utterly shameful!   The Yale School of Public Health and UPenn Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics jointly estimate that the policies put forth in this bill would result in 51,000 PREVENTABLE deaths every year! Those deaths would largely be attributable to loss of healthcare coverage (Medicaid and ACA Marketplace) and loss of prescription drug subsidies.   And despite this bill having been put forth by individuals who claim to be Christian, the policies outlined would put the “lesser of us,” our disabled citizens (including CHILDREN) and economically struggling families, at the greatest risk!   The America I love is BETTER than this!  Prove that YOU are better than this...VOTE NO on this horrific piece of legislation!
