Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
“By the way, they never report the crowd on January 6th,” Trump told the audience. “You know, Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, you know they, do you know they destroyed all of the information, all of the evidence, everything, deleted and destroyed all of it. All of it because of lots of things, like Nikki Haley is in charge of security. We offered her 10,000 people. Soldiers, National Guards, whatever they want. They turned it down.”
(I don’t have room or patience to quote more, we all know it’s out there in quantity, but my request today is to please not say anything more about Joe Biden’s mental acuity. Your guy is not right in the head.)
Also, I’m trying to get the list straight on what it is you and your party still like about our country and our democracy.
Media = Fake.
Congress = Dysfunctional.
Military = Woke.
Judicial system = Rigged.
Banks = Discriminatory (against religious conservatives?).
Education = Biased.
Foreign policy = Who needs it.
And a real biggie…
Electoral system = Fraudulent.
So if all of our American bedrocks are no good, rotten, not deserving of value, it makes me wonder what’s in it for you in keeping your jobs with an institution you have no faith in?
As far as I can determine all these complaints stem from grievance. Grievance because the ideas and methods espoused by an element of the GOP are not embraced by the majority of the country, and hopefully never will be, the only recourse is to tear it all down for the rest of us.
Which makes support of DJT by your party a no-brainer. There’s never been a more grievance-ridden human in history. He’s the perfect encapsulation, an Everyman for the MAGA movement. Poor victimized me. They’re doing it to me. They’re gonna do it you too.
Still not clear on who THEY is, but be afraid.
Tearing it all down seems terrifyingly easy. All it takes is a total capitulation of half the people elected to lead the country.
Please take care. What may be seen by the political class as solely cynical tactics to win an election is in reality being seen as a call for civil war by your constituents.
And that’s not a game any of us should want to play.
