Big tech holds far too much power in our world. Tech companies control what we see, how we interact, what we buy. Their control of apps and competitive fees hurt everyone but themselves. The biggest offender, Apple, is on track to make $80 BILLION+ this year off the backs of developers - that’s $80 billion in higher prices consumers wouldn’t have had to pay in a competitive marketplace. Whenever one company gains too much power in a market, it’s bad for consumers, small businesses and innovation as whole. I am writing to ask you to call Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s office to get The Open App Markets Act and The American Innovation and Choice Online Act to the Senate floor where they can be debated, voted on, and passed into law.
