An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Preserve Voting Rights—Oppose the SAVE Act

41 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

I am writing today to insist that you OPPOSE the SAVE Act, which does nothing except to disenfranchise millions of voters.   If the bill passes, more than 21 million Americans could be blocked from voting.
The bill’s requirement that voters produce these documents “in person” would also upend most voter registration methods — including registering online and by mail.   The SAVE Act would be the first voter suppression bill ever passed by Congress. Lawmakers should be protecting the freedom to vote — not restricting it.   This bill is about furthering voter suppression - which is a much bigger problem than voter fraud. Reject the SAVE Act.
