REJECT BUDGET BILL

I am writing as your constituent to urge you in the strongest terms to reject the current budget bill. This legislation represents a gross dereliction of fiscal responsibility and a clear betrayal of the American public’s trust. The bill’s staggering cost and its projected increase to the national deficit are simply indefensible. At a time when our country faces mounting debt, this bill doubles down on short-sighted spending while stripping away long-standing safety nets. The proposed cuts and structural attacks on Medicare and Medicaid are especially egregious—punishing seniors, working families, and vulnerable populations to bankroll giveaways and pork-barrel projects. Moreover, this bill contains a number of undemocratic, unrelated provisions that have no place in a budget negotiation. These power grabs—tucked away in fine print—seek to bypass normal legislative processes and consolidate authority in ways that undermine transparency, accountability, and democratic norms. This is not governance—it is sabotage. You were elected to uphold the interests of the people, not to rubber-stamp reckless, ideologically driven legislation that threatens the country’s long-term fiscal health and social fabric. I urge you to vote NO on this budget bill and demand a return to responsible, transparent budgeting that respects both the Constitution and the American people.
