Stop the EPA's Political Witch Hunt Targeting Abortion Medication

140 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Oppose the EPA's decision to screen drinking water for mifepristone and misoprostol. This is a political stunt designed to build a case against abortion access, not a legitimate public health effort. There is no evidence these medications are harming the water supply or posing any risk to people who drink it. The EPA has a list of actual contaminants that need urgent regulation. Nathan Donley of the Center for Biological Diversity said it plainly: testing for mifepristone is a "witch hunt" that diverts time and resources from studying things that are actually a problem. Meanwhile, abortion rights advocates and the Guttmacher Institute have warned this move will fuel further surveillance and criminalization of people seeking abortions and their providers — a chilling effect that is the whole point. This administration is using a federal agency to wage a war on reproductive rights under the cover of environmental science. Speak out against this abuse of the EPA's mandate and push back on any effort to use these findings to restrict access to abortion medication.
