I am incredibly disappointed that you participated in the charade of a remembrance day for professional shit-stirrer Charlie Kirk. While I abhor his killing and condemn that action thoroughly, Kirk is not a person who deserves this kind of adulation, especially given the federal government’s inaction on the killings of the Hortmans and their dog. Why not a day of remembrance for every child killed in a school shooting?
I applaud those members of the House for voting, “Present,” and wish you had done the same. I understand the political difficulties of voting, “No,” in such a fraught atmosphere, but would have preferred that you not join in the adulation of a person who spent his career denigrating women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community.
