We, the American people, have had enough. For too long, our government has been poisoned by lies, misinformation, and deceit from those entrusted with power. From the Oval Office to the halls of Congress, the truth has become optional—and the result is a nation divided, confused, and losing faith in the very foundation of our democracy.
It’s time to restore honesty to American politics. That’s why I am calling for immediate action on what should be called the “No More Lies Act.”
This legislation must make it illegal for elected officials, candidates, and government representatives to knowingly and intentionally spread false information to the American public. The same way businesses are held accountable for false advertising and financial fraud, our leaders must be held accountable for political lies that cause real harm to our nation.
We demand:
• Mandatory fact-checking accountability for all public statements made by elected officials.
• Strict penalties for knowingly spreading misinformation that undermines public trust, national security, or public health.
• Truth and Transparency Standards for all government communications and campaign materials.
• Public correction requirements when falsehoods are identified—no more sweeping lies under the rug.
Freedom of speech is sacred—but freedom from deliberate deception is just as vital to a functioning democracy. Lies from our leaders have cost lives, divided families, and shattered trust in our institutions. The American people deserve better.
Mr. Trump, Members of Congress—this is your opportunity to prove that truth still matters in this country. If you truly serve the people, then you will stand behind this call for integrity, accountability, and honesty in government. The future of our democracy depends on it.
Enough deception. Enough propaganda. Enough manipulation. We need truth. We need transparency. We need a “No More Lies Act.”
