An open letter to State Legislatures (N.C. only)

End Gerrymandering

53 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

I am writing as your constituent to urge you to take a strong stand against partisan gerrymandering in North Carolina. Gerrymandering undermines the very foundation of our democracy by allowing politicians to choose their voters instead of allowing voters to choose their representatives. It distorts representation, entrenches political power, and leaves many North Carolinians—especially those in competitive or minority communities—without a meaningful voice in government. The people of North Carolina deserve fair maps that accurately reflect our communities and our votes. I strongly encourage you to support legislation that creates an independent redistricting commission, ensures transparency in the map-drawing process, and prohibits the use of partisan or racial data when drawing district lines. Fair maps lead to fair elections, greater accountability, and a healthier democracy. Please stand with the citizens of North Carolina in putting people—not politics—first. Our democracy works best when every vote truly counts.
