An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Do Not Dismantle the Department of Education

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

While the Supreme Court is hearing arguments by this administration asking for permission to dismantle the Department of Education, I ask you as Congress to stand firm and don't allow it to be gutted. Certain protections need to be in place on a national level, like protections for disabled students and teachers, and student loans should not be privatized. Capitalism is good for many things, but preventing corruption is not one of them. Please stand by the Department of Education.
