An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Do not make cuts to Medicare coverage

24 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office report confirms that the Republican proposals for Medicaid cuts would result in millions of Americans losing their health care coverage. This is unacceptable and goes against President Trump's explicit promise to the American people that there would be no cuts to vital programs like Medicare and Medicaid. While fiscal responsibility is important, stripping health coverage from vulnerable populations is not the answer. I urge you to reject any and all proposals that would reduce Medicaid enrollment or shift costs to states in a way that jeopardizes access to care. Protect the health and well-being of your constituents by preserving Medicaid funding and ensuring affordable coverage remains available. Americans deserve better than having the rug pulled out from under them on an issue as fundamental as health care.
