Support Universal Healthcare — 10 Million Americans Have Lost Coverage

Pass universal healthcare legislation now. Ten million Americans have lost their health coverage since January 2025 — 5.9 million from Medicaid and CHIP alone, and 4.5 million more from the ACA. Nearly 2.5 million of those are children. This happened before the Medicaid work requirements from the One Big Beautiful Bill even kicked in. The worst is still coming.
Republicans cut $900 billion from Medicaid over ten years while refusing to extend ACA subsidies as insurers raised premiums by an average of 26%. Hospitals are now warning they'll be forced to close or cut services under new CMS regulations piled on top of those cuts. Every other wealthy nation has figured this out. We are the outlier, and people are paying for that failure with their lives and their health.
The United States is the only country in the developed world that treats healthcare as a privilege rather than a right. That is a political choice, and it can be reversed. I want you to champion universal healthcare coverage — not incremental patches to a broken system, but guaranteed coverage for every person in this country. The data is damning and the moment demands action.
