Cut Funding for Unauthorized War Against Iran

Congress must immediately cut funding for military operations against Iran and reassert its constitutional authority to declare war. This administration has dragged us into a month-long conflict that has already killed 13 American service members and wounded over 300 more, including 15 injured in Friday's attack on Prince Sultan Air Base. Our troops are being sent into harm's way without congressional authorization. This is an illegal war of choice. The administration is escalating with thousands more Marines and Army troops headed to the region, striking industrial facilities across Iran, and expanding operations into Lebanon. Secretary of State Rubio admits the U.S. has only destroyed one-third of Iran's missile capabilities despite weeks of bombing. Meanwhile, the conflict is spreading to Yemen, Bahrain, UAE, and Oman, threatening one-fifth of the world's oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan is hosting diplomatic talks starting Monday with regional powers working to de-escalate. Diplomacy, not more military action, offers the path forward. Use the power of the purse to end this war and bring our service members home before more Americans die in an unauthorized conflict.
