Stay out of Gaza

The proposal to establish a U.S.-led trusteeship over Gaza raised by former Trump administration officials is highly problematic and should be rejected. It represents an unwarranted insertion of American intervention into a complex regional conflict that we have no place attempting to resolve unilaterally. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict requires a negotiated political solution between the parties themselves, not the imposition of external control by a foreign power. Furthermore, such a trusteeship would almost certainly inflame tensions rather than promote stability and peace. I urge you to firmly oppose any consideration of this ill-conceived proposal that disregards Palestinian self-determination and sovereignty. The United States must stop meddling in affairs where we lack the cultural context and instead prioritize diplomacy that brings all stakeholders to the table on an equal footing.
