I am urging you to call for an immediate ceasefire in Israel/Palestine. So many innocent Palestinian lives depend on it. Please be on the right side of history and don’t support Israel’s war crimes. The death of innocent people is always horrific, on that we can all agree. However, the death of innocent Israeli people will never justify the killing of innocent Palestinian people, including children. Please call for the government of Israel to stop. You are a world leader, so lead. Please. Don’t look back and regret not doing anything while innocent people die. We’re all human beings and all deserve to live in peace. And that includes the Palestinian people. The United States is based on the principles of freedom and equality. We’ve never quite lived up to those principles but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. The Palestinian people too, deserve to be free. They deserve equal rights. They deserve better. If you can’t give it to them, then you can’t truly claim to support human rights, to support freedom and equality. You are meant to be a president for all people. How do you think Palestinian-Americans feel as they watch people just like them dying en masse? I doubt it’s good. They deserve better. And so do the Palestinians still in Palestine/Israel. I am sure you have a good heart. So use it. Remember our common humanity. History and the American people are watching. Please, call for peace and justice and an end to all oppression and violence.
