Protect abortion care! Stop Dr. Heidi Overton's confirmation!

I am deeply alarmed that Donald Trump announced he will nominate Dr. Heidi Overton as the new FDA commissioner. Overton is a radical anti-abortion extremist. She celebrated the overturning of Roe v. Wade and called it a “huge victory.” She has repeatedly promoted false claims about the safety of medication abortion, including mifepristone, a safe, FDA-approved drug currently used for over half of all abortions. If Overton is confirmed and access to mifepristone is restricted, more than 64.5 million people will face increased barriers to abortion care, impacting their ability to make their own decisions about their lives, bodies, and futures. This is unacceptable. You must stop this woman’s confirmation. As my Senator, I expect you to do so. Thanks.
