Act now: Publish the ERA

Former President Obama has repeatedly said that each generation has the task to make the vision of America a reality for all people. We’ve come so far as a nation, which makes it all the more shocking that gender equality is not enshrined in our Constitution. To realize the promise of America, we must affirm the equal rights of all citizens in our highest law. The Equal Rights Amendment has met all legal requirements, including state ratification. All that’s required is for you to direct the Archivist to publish it. You have until Jan 20th to take action. You’ve called incoming president Trump a threat to democracy. I’d go even further: he’s a threat to every woman and minority in this nation You must publish the ERA before he takes office. My fundamental rights are in your hands.
