I am writing as your constituent in the most plain and honest way because Iranians are running out of time. Over 120 Iranians have been executed in the last 30 days. It is time for the United States to act.
First, it is crucial that Mahsa Act HR 589 is passed. Holding Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Ibrahim Raisi accountable for the endless crimes against humanity is of utmost importance. Please cosponsor this act if you have not already.
There are two additional actions that should be taken right now to help Iranians: Setting up a strike fund for striking workers and providing secure internet access so that Iranians can communicate with each other and the world. These two steps can be funded by frozen assets that belong to the people of Iran, not the government which only uses these funds to fuel their oppressive regime inside the country and promote terrorism all over the world via their Quds Force.
If you have not already, I am requesting that you meet with the NUFDI team and Reza Pahlavi to acquaint yourself with the 15 point plan for maximum support. This plan, with guidance from Reza Pahlavi, details trusted steps to be taken to ensure the transition from regime to democracy much easier and more peaceful for the people of Iran who are unarmed and challenging a government that does not hesitate to shoot them in the streets or execute them for false and illegitimate crimes such as being atheist, or protesting for basic human rights.
I am also once again urging you to pressure our allies, including the United Kingdom, Australia, European Union, Japan, Egypt and Canada to proscribe the IRGC as a terrorist organization. I will also ask that the United States begin to once again enforce sanctions on goods such as oil. The Iranian people need maximum isolation and pressure placed on the regime so that they can progress in their fight for freedom more easily.
I will also take this time to reaffirm that the documented terrorist group with cult-like tendencies MEK/PMOI and their shell groups NCRI and IAC are not trusted or supported by the Iranian people. There is a plethora of documentation and research into this group, including testimony of dissenters. Maryam Rajavi has less than 1% support according to all polls, including gamaan.org, which is the most credible polling we currently have. This sentiment also applies to NIAC, PAAIA, and their associates including US Iran Envoy Robert Malley. As they are not trusted by Iranians and have repeatedly proven to promote bad policy that only helps the murderous and terrorist regime currently holding the country of Iran hostage. These mentioned groups are working diligently to block the Iranian right to self determination and nothing more.
As leaders of the free world I am asking you to hear this message and put it to action. Together with Iranians, we can forge a bright future for the region and the world.
Thank you,
