Vote no on the Big Billionaires’ Bill

I’m writing to urge the Congressman to condemn the Trump administration’s deployment of the National Guard and military to attack Americans exercising their right to protest. These authoritarian policies and attacks on our rights and communities must stop. Just because some propaganda organizations are showing the same handful of knuckleheads who took (or were themselves) the bait, and the same 2 Waymos burning over and over again, doesn’t mean LA is a war zone. Most of the city is quiet, and the vast majority of the protests have been wholly peaceful. This is a fake crisis, deliberately created by the Trump regime, and we the people are not falling for it. We can see that Trump and his cronies are trying to distract us from the profoundly dumb and unpopular Big Billionaires Bill that they are trying to jam through Congress for their oligarch friends, at the expense of everyone else, for generations to come. We need someone with a spine representing our district, not a wimpy puppet for Trump. I’m also very upset and concerned that Democratic lawmakers attempting to do oversight at ICE detention locations are being turned away. How is this happening and what can be done to make sure members of Congress can get in to see detainees, whom I hear are being kept in abysmal conditions? This is both the right and the responsibility of our representatives! What authority does ICE claim that would place them above Congress? Finally, I strongly oppose Trump’s rescission package, and I expect the Congressman to vote no. Foreign aid AND Public Broadcasting are very, very important to me as a full-time professional music maker. We need strong public funding of education, arts, and culture - now more than ever!
