The recent purge of senior military officers by Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth is a terrifying step toward dismantling the integrity and strength of our military. The removal of top leaders like General CQ Brown, Admiral Lisa Franchetti, and General James Slife is a blatant attack on our military’s independence and diversity.
Trump’s nomination of Dan Caine—an unqualified venture capitalist with deep ties to Trump and his cronies—is a clear attempt to install another loyalist who will put party over country.
This isn’t just a political move; it’s a direct threat to the effectiveness and apolitical nature of our armed forces. It’s a power grab that undermines our Constitution, erodes trust in the military, and puts us all at risk. We cannot stand by while this authoritarian agenda plays out.
I demand to know what actions you are taking in response. The very minimum response is to stand up for the rule of law and vote NO on the confirmation of Dan Caine and the replacements for these other officers. But this is a time for extraordinary responses.
