Strongly oppose the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the “Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.” This legislation not only misrepresents the realities of athletic competition but also contributes to the harmful dehumanization of transgender individuals in our society.
Transgender athletes make up a very small percentage of the population and pose no threat to the integrity of sports. Like everyone else, they simply want the opportunity to participate in activities that foster teamwork, community, and personal growth. The narrative framing them as a danger to women’s sports is not only unfounded but also distracts from pressing national issues, such as economic inequality, the climate crisis, and challenges in health care and housing.
What we need are solutions to these genuine and urgent problems—not divisive legislation that targets vulnerable communities. Transgender Americans deserve the same protections under Title IX as everyone else. They deserve dignity, respect, and the assurance that their representatives will advocate for their rights rather than marginalize them for political gain.
I urge you to vocally oppose this bill and to stand in support of policies that reflect fairness, inclusion, and equality for all.
