Vote NO on Trump’s Deadly Budget — We Will Not “Get Over It”

I am writing to demand that you vote NO on Donald Trump’s extremist and cruel budget proposal. This budget is an attack on working families, rural communities, immigrants, and anyone who depends on Medicare, Medicaid, or the Affordable Care Act to survive. If passed, over 13 million Americans could lose their health insurance. Rural hospitals would face mass closures. People with disabilities, seniors, low-income parents, and children will suffer – and many will die – because of the reckless and immoral cuts in this budget. This budget also targets immigrant communities, restricting access to public health programs, increasing red tape, and punishing families for trying to survive. These provisions are not about “savings” — they are about cruelty and exclusion. Even more alarming, the budget quietly grants dangerous new freedoms to AI companies — removing guardrails meant to protect civil rights, privacy, and public oversight. While gutting health care and social safety nets, this proposal opens the floodgates for unchecked surveillance, data exploitation, and the replacement of human workers with unregulated AI systems. It hands Silicon Valley billionaires unprecedented power, without any meaningful accountability, risking deep harm to workers, communities of color, and our democracy. And for what? To hand even more tax breaks to billionaires and giant corporations. Let me be clear: The so-called “rural hospital fund” is not a solution – it’s a distraction. You cannot gut a lifeline and expect people to be saved by a Band-Aid. Senator Mitch McConnell had the gall to say that those who lose Medicaid will simply “get over it.” That is heartless. That is unacceptable. And if you support this budget in any way, your constituents will not forget. I am asking you to: 1. Publicly and unequivocally oppose this budget. 2. Fight it in committee, on the floor, and in the press. 3. Vote NO when it reaches the Senate. This budget will kill people. It will devastate immigrants, the poor, the sick, the elderly — while handing dangerous new powers to AI corporations and enriching the already wealthy. You were elected to protect us — not to stand by while extremist politicians sacrifice our lives for billionaire donors. Do the right thing. Stop this budget.
