As your constituent, I am writing to ask you to support The Fairness Act, which would enshrine protections from discrimination for LGBTQ+ people in Pennsylvania state law. The Fairness Act respects and adds to the commonwealth’s laws that protect individuals' freedoms and safeguard against discrimination. This law is a simple and an essential change that would align Pennsylvania with other states nationwide that have already added explicit protections for their LGBTQ+ populations. Families, businesses, and communities across Pennsylvania need to know that we are a place where everyone can live, love, and work as their authentic selves without fear of discrimination. For all of these reasons, I urge you to support the Fairness Act.
