Recall how Hitler destroyed German democracy in 53 days. Trump is working toward the same end by ignoring the Constitution, by ignoring laws, by ignoring Congress and by ignoring judges. Recall his words in 2024, “Christians, get out and vote. Just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore, you know what? Four more years, it’ll be fixed, it’ll be fine, you won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians.” We are in a constitutional crisis. Our democracy is facing an existential threat. Push back by the courts takes too long to have an effect. Republican Senators and Representatives must aggressively rein in Trump, now. History will view you as being complicit in the destruction of our democracy if you fail to act! Is that how you want to be remembered?
