TEXAS MAY BE A TRUMP MINION BUT WE THE CITIZENS ARE NOT

I grew up like most Texans with an out-sized opinion of our independent strong fearless bow-down-to-no-one character. But no more. Governor Abbott and our GOP leadership left all that behind to follow the worst examples of amoral leadership, bravery, character, or basic human decency to jump on the Trump train. A train that is leading our country into a dark time. And Texas is doing its best to help in any way possible. In addition to invading another state by sending in our National Guard for a bogus reason, tampering with our votes, etc etc etc now we’ve jumped on the Tylenol-is-the-devil bandwagon. And our AG actually seems to be suing because the makers of Tylenol will not accept non-science quackery by refusing to label their product with political misinformation. You make us look ignorant. You make us look like slobbering sycophants. You ignore how unhappy and struggling your constituents are. You laugh as the president drops poop bombs on our heads. You must think we deserve it. And like any good coward, you’re on the side of the bully. But you’ve chosen the wrong dog in this fight. Texas under you is not strong. We do not show moral clarity. We do not show empathy for anyone. We are just an ordinary toady trying to suck up harder than the other toadies. And when the big guy says jump, you just smile and say ‘How high sir?’ We are now a corrupted state. And you are not honorable leaders. Read some polls. They may not be gospel but they certainly should tell you which way the political winds are blowing. And as history shows over and over, nothing lasts forever. Not even the GOP stranglehold on an evolving Texas. You are weak. And we the people are going to be the ones to prove it.
