Trump’s “Fake News” Ban Should Start With Himself. Protect the Free Press!

Trump, the least honest president of USA, banned CNN, MS NOW, and Politico for alleged “fake news.” He named no specific false report. Trump claims tariffs are collecting trillions, $5,000 checks are easily affordable, prices are rapidly falling, $20 trillion has been invested, zero people crossed the southern border illegally for 15 months, he won three presidential elections, his 2025 tax law was history’s largest tax cut, and Americans pay the world’s lowest prescription drug prices….. He also claimed children go to school and return after gender affirming surgery and compared childhood vaccine volume to a bottle of soda. Fact checks found these statements false, misleading, or unsupported. If accuracy is required to enter the White House, it must also be required of the president speaking from it. Congress should request the evidence and legal basis for this ban and determine whether First Amendment and due process protections were followed.
