President Trump: Your recent statements are a disgraceful endorsement of genocide and a direct attack on the First Amendment. Your threats against students, universities, and protesters—calling for imprisonment, deportation, and federal funding cuts—are not just unconstitutional but fascist. Your reckless rhetoric encouraging Israel to “finish the job” and warning that Palestinians in Gaza will be “dead” if hostages are not released is nothing short of a call for mass extermination.
Members of Congress: It is horrifying that The President of the United States is openly advocating for war crimes while threatening to crush dissent at home. Trump’s words give a green light to Israel’s ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians while attempting to silence those who dare to protest against it.
American students engaging in peaceful demonstrations—just as students did against the Vietnam War, segregation, and apartheid in South Africa—are being threatened with imprisonment and exile. This is an authoritarian assault on fundamental rights that no elected official should tolerate.
If Trump wants students to stop protesting the genocide in Gaza, he should call for an immediate and permanent end to that genocide—not endorse it while criminalizing those who demand justice.
Trump: Your statements must be immediately rescinded.
Congress: You must formally condemn this treacherous rhetoric immediately and openly.
All of your constituents are watching. You work for us and we will not tolerate your support for atrocities.
