congress Once again Trump has engaged in activity that generally requires input from Congress — this time by engaging our military in an attack of Iran utilizing the largest B2 Bomber attack ever assembled in U.S. history. I’m no fan of Iran, but given the intense and delicate nature of the political environment across the Middle East, it is imperative that the administration not only consult with Congress, but that it also seeks an endorsement from Congress whenever the United States engages in military action not first provoked by our adversary. This sets a dangerous precedent for many other such conflicts, be it with Iran, or other such nations with political ties to China or Russia. Iran’s subsequent effort to gain support from Russia is just one more example of Trump’s careless actions, and his total unawareness of worldwide political discourse. We don’t need to escalate towards World War III.
