The death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a blow to every US citizen, and to the justice system as it was meant to work.
RBG was a Justice that stood firm on their interpretation of the law no matter what the current political whims wanted.
As we are less than two months away from a presidential election, not to mention RBG's final wishes, there should be no confirmation until after a new president and new members of Congress are chosen.
As the Senate Majority Leader has already started his intention to ignore the precedent he created and attempt to push through a confirmation, it is our duty as US citizens, and your duty as our representatives, to resist with everything we have. The White House should use this time to consider applicants so that they can either move forward or present their vetted suggestions to the new White House. Once the next administration is in place, then and only then, should a confirmation take place.
Thank you for your time and your service to these United States.
