An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Oppose the "SAFE TO WORK Act" and protect 61 million disabled Americans

1,335 so far! Help us get to 2,000 signers!

Congress must not eviscerate vital protections that protect the rights and lives of the 61 million Americans who have a disability. Any proposal, like the “SAFE TO WORK Act,” that would broadly waive the safeguards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act is a threat to the lives of disabled Americans. As a constituent, I demand you oppose any effort, including the “SAFE TO WORK Act,” to gut these essential civil rights protections. As a voter, I will support electeds who do everything they can to safeguard me, my family, and my community during this pandemic – and I will oppose those who risk our lives to further the profits of big business.
