Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
I know y’all are busy hiding from accountability while building a human shield around our current President, so I wanted to make sure you are aware of the June 30 op-ed in the NYT by former national security advisor Susan Rice.
“Why Does Trump Put Russia First?”
First THIS time means ignoring intelligence that Russia was paying bounty on American soldiers in Afghanistan. It is devastating in its condemnation. You should read it. Maybe you’ll be reminded of how our government is supposed to work. Be reminded that our President is supposed to be on the side of the country he serves.
Mr. Trump is not and never will be. He is on his side and his side alone.
Excerpt: “What must we conclude from all this? At best, our commander in chief is utterly derelict in his duties, presiding over a dangerously dysfunctional national security process that is putting our country and those who wear its uniform at great risk. At worst, the White House is being run by liars and wimps catering to a tyrannical president who is actively advancing our arch adversary’s nefarious interests.”
