Remove Homeland Security Troops from American Cities

I remember the pall that fell over Washington, DC the night Nixon had the Special Prosecutor removed and the eerie sense that brute power, not law, had become supreme. I have a similar feeling knowing that Donald Trump has transformed the forces of Homeland Security into his own personal paramilitary and is using them to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens. If ever there were tyranny, this is it. If ever an American President were to be following the fascist playbook, this is it. To talk about sending his federal forces only to "Democrat" cities, reveals a dangerous strain of unAmericanism and an extreme partisanship unworthy of an American President. I urge you to take all possible action to reign in this out-of-control President together with the rogue Homeland Security troops which are now in Portland, Oregon but which Trump has also threatened to send to Chicago, Philadelphia and New York. American democracy is at stake.
