EARN-IT threatens covid19 response

I am writing you to oppose the so called EARN-IT bill presently before the Senate. While the bill makes no mention of encryption, the underlying premise that web sites may be called upon to screen their content undermines end to end encryption which is vital to the modern internet. Right now nearly all of the US economy is using remote video chat services which are encrypted end to end. This bill is a direct threat to our ability to work in a pandemic.
