Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Is it just me or does our President seem particularly peevish these days? It seems his threat level is increasing. And by that I mean he’s been even more threatening than usual.
On his upcoming super-spreader Covid rally: “Any protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle, or Minneapolis. It will be a much different scene!"
Old man. Shaking fist.
Supreme Court decisions: “These horrible & politically charged decisions coming out of the Supreme Court are shotgun blasts into the face of people that are proud to call themselves Republicans or Conservatives. We need more Justices or we will lose our 2nd. Amendment & everything else. Vote Trump 2020!” He went on: “[W]e need NEW JUSTICES of the Supreme Court. If the Radical Left Democrats assume power, your Second Amendment, Right to Life, Secure Borders, and… Religious Liberty, among many other things, are OVER and GONE!”
No gratitude. And after everything I’ve done for them.
On Republican Party: “If they don’t embrace [me] they’re going to lose, because, you know, I have a very hard base. I have the strongest base people have ever seen,” said Trump, who met with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell last week to discuss the party’s prospects in key Senate races.”
Got it? You lose if you stick with him. You lose if you don’t.
But I expect it’ll all be fine if he just keeps yelling/whining louder and louder.
Final thought for the days to come. We the people will not eat a rotten potato. It doesn’t matter how it’s presented. Cover it with expensive add-ons, make it appear strong and capable. It’s still a stinky potato.
