Let the people choose

“The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice, therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new president.” Please do not push a confirmation through just to get a conservative Justice in before the election. That would make a mockery of the constitution of this nation, and of the group assigned to protect it. As was decided in 2016, so should this late-term President be denied the option of determining who takes this august position until after the election has determined the fate of the nation.
